From Bad to Worse: Chevy Volt Battery Problems

Earlier, I had posted on the PR problems of recent alleged fires associated with the batteries on Chevy Volts, specifically the "offer" of GM first to provide "loaner" cars and more recently to actually "buyback" the vehicles from any disgruntled consumer. Now, it appears both Chevy and the National Highway Transportation and Safety Administration  (NHTSA) may have sat on safety information for several months before disclosing anything to the general public.
