Mea SOPA? Will Google, Amazon and Facebook "strike" on the Worldwide Web?

A world with no Google searches, Amazon transactions or Facebook updates?  No, it is not an Electromagnetic  Pulse ("EMP") attack from an external foe disabling communications networks (though it could be). Instead, there is a chatter that the Big Boys of e-commerce may voluntarily shut down and "strike"in an expression of their displeasure with the proposed Stop Online Piracy Act ("SOPA").
